Situated close to the historic port of Whitby on the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast, Yorkshire Coast Fossils has now been supplying customers with high quality fossil specimens and Whitby Jet jewellery for over 15 years .

The majority of the fossils offered are from the upper lias shales of the Lower Jurassic; with specimens ranging from the relatively abundant ammonites Dactylioceras and Hildoceras to rarer collectors pieces such as remains of marine reptiles such as Ichthyosaur, Plesiosaur, and marine crocodile, as well as occasional fish and crinoid specimen. Whilst specialising in fossil specimens from the Whitby area of North Yorkshire, Yorkshire Coast Fossils
is also happy to source, prepare, and supply specimens from elsewhere in the UK on request.

In addition to providing fossil specimens for the most avid collectors, Yorkshire Coast Fossils are also pleased to offer a range of unique polished fossil gifts such as sectioned and polished ammonites as well as other unusual cut and polished fossil material. Also available is an extensive range of top quality handmade Whitby Jet jewellery, some of which is inlaid with local ammonites, Baltic Amber, Mammoth ivory and other semi-precious stones. since all jewellery is handmade to the highest standards by the proprietor, bespoke pieces of jewellery can be commissioned and made according to customers requirements-details on request.
