Specimen:
Plesiosaur sp humerus
Location: Whitby, N,Yorks England
Age: Upper Lias, Jet Rock shale's 180 million years old
Description: Plesiosaur remains from the Yorkshire Coast
are not often seen which makes them very collectable,
especially when of this quality. Although this humerus
has been sympathetically restored and mounted in to a
piece of jet rock from which it came from, the restoration
is minimal and can be seen in the middle of the bone as
a darker patch approx 2cms x 4cms.
This humerus was collected several years ago from
the Jet rock hence its black colour and beautiful
preservation a fantastic specimen for the collection.

Size: Humerus 25cms Long  x  11cms width

Specimen:
Steneosaurus gracilirostris
Location: Whitby, N,Yorks England
Age: Upper Lias, Bituminous shale's 180 million years old
Description: Crocodile remains from Yorkshire Coast
are relatively common but most of the time the skeletons
of these creatures are up in the cliffs, hundreds of feet out
of the reach of most collectors and only when small
cliff falls happen do we see tantalizing  evidence of them
being there at all, so when they are found they are usually
broken specimens and lots of pieces are missing or still
up in the cliff until another slice decides to fall and reveal
other fragments, this partial skull being a prime example
although not complete it shows an eye socket, nasal
cavities, part lower  jaw with teeth down one side,
plus the ornamentation on top of the skull,
making this a quality specimen for the collection .
Size: Skull 5.5cms high x 8cms width & 14cm length
