Age: Upper Lias, Jet Rock shale's 180 million years old
Description: Plesiosaur remains off the Yorkshire Coast
are not often seen and if they aren't collected out of situ
they tend to be water worn and missing the neural arch.
This one was collected several years ago from the Jet
rock hence its black colour and beautiful preservation
a fantastic specimen for the collection.
