Description: Displayed on cut base matrix this highly polished
Ammonite from the Frodingham Ironstone is displaying the classic Scunthorpe Ammonite colours
stunning golden yellow/brown sutures and white chambers with hints of green all preserved in
Calcite there is small area of restoration on this piece on the inner whorl, these Ammonites
are so rare now they are a true collectors fossil or as a conversation piece for
display in the home or office, the quarries that yielded these beautiful fossils
were closed some thirty years ago which is when these were collected.
These natural pieces of art are becoming increasingly hard to obtain and only
a limited number appear on the market for sale each year.
well worthy of a place in any collection or as a decor piece of natural
art in the home or office.
