Ammonite from the Frodingham Ironstone the shell of the Ammonite is preserved in brown
calcite and the piece of the larger ammonite shows the internal chambers with dog tooth
calcite inside a fun little piece, these Ammonites are so rare now they are a true collectors
fossil or as a conversation piece for display in the home or office, the quarries that yielded
these beautiful fossils were closed some thirty years ago which is when these were collected.
These natural pieces of art are becoming increasingly hard to obtain and only
a limited number appear on the market for sale each year.
